This happened to be one of the best chickens that Joy and I have made, so i figured that I would share it with you. Of course its best served with some baked beans, corn, mac ‘n cheese, and something green would be good.
Chicken Dry-Rub marinate overnight in the fridge
- 1/2 Whole Chicken
- 1/2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
BBQ Sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/8 cup lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Cooking
Preheat oven at 350° and cook for 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 160°. Remove from oven and coat with BBQ sauce, and place on bbq or broiler for 5 minutes for a charred flavor. Let it rest for a few minutes then serve!
